​An industry exhibition and an international scientific conference have opened in Ashgabat

The International Scientific Conference "Achievements in the field of agricultural seed production and promising tasks" has opened in Ashgabat.

The two-day forum gathered representatives of relevant ministries and departments, research and production centers of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and other countries, as well as the CIS Executive Committee at the Yyldyz Hotel.

Within the framework of the forum, the guests visited the exhibition at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Such events invariably attract the attention of representatives of the business circles of the world with opportunities to strengthen trade and economic relations with our country, which, thanks to the reforms carried out under the leadership of the head of state, is experiencing the rise and rapid development of many industries, including the agro-industrial complex.

The current review clearly reflects the successes of Turkmen farmers, introduces the possibilities of the domestic agro-industrial complex, advanced equipment of world-famous companies ready to offer their technological innovations to build capacity in the production of high-quality import-substituting and export-oriented agricultural products.

At the exhibition, you can also get an idea of the gene pool of the most important agricultural crops, the potential of domestic seed production, get acquainted with samples of promising wheat varieties, which are the result of the painstaking work of Turkmen breeders and have proven themselves in the best way in local soil and climatic conditions.

During the official opening ceremony of the International Scientific Conference, the welcoming Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out, which emphasizes that "In the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, significant efforts are being made for the integrated development of agronomy. Domestic scientists and specialists engaged in agriculture are developing new highly productive varieties of crops, while they take into account the soil and climatic factors of each region of our country. Subsequently, they are massively introduced into production."

Among the priority topics for the exchange of experience are the cultivation and breeding of high–yielding varieties of wheat, potatoes and other agricultural crops, the development of world experience in this area, which is defined by the President of the country as one of the main tasks of the Turkmen agro-industrial complex.
