Children of the country's oil and gas industry workers are enjoying their summer holidays

In Turkmenistan, schoolchildren traditionally spend their summer holidays in children's health centers (CHC) located in picturesque corners of the country. One of the most popular vacation spots is the Gökdere Gorge, where the centers "Cheshme," "Nebitchi," "Nesil," "Shokhle," as well as "Gara Altyn" in Khazar and "Arzuw" in Avaza are situated.

Schoolchildren from different parts of Turkmenistan come to these children's health centers on discounted vouchers provided by the workplaces of their parents, who work in the country's oil and gas industry organizations and enterprises.

One of the children's favorite vacation centers for spending their summer holidays is the "Nesil" CHC, which gathers around a thousand children each season.

Recently, the "Nesil" CHC held an "Open Day" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi. The young vacationers recited the poet's verses, sang songs, participated in competitions and masterclasses. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and works of Fragi organized by the State Library of the Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

Similar events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi are held during the summer holidays in all children's health centers across the country.

It has also become a tradition to hold sports events in children's health centers. Recently, the Trade Union Council of Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Complex organized cultural and sports events under the motto "We are the generation of the prosperous era" in the "Cheshme," "Nebitchi," "Nesil," and "Shokhle" CHCs. The children played football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, checkers, and chess, and participated in obstacle races.

Creative competitions in expressive reading, musical performances, and theatrical productions are also held in the CHCs, allowing each child to find their place and participate according to their talents.

Every day spent in the children's health centers offers children unforgettable holidays amidst the irresistible beauty of the surrounding nature, with impeccably clean, oxygen-rich air.

At the centers, children are under the supervision of experienced teachers, methodologists, and trainers. All conditions are created here for their full and comfortable rest, the development of sports and creative skills, intellectual and cognitive abilities, as well as for passive recreation, such as reading books and watching movies.
