"KHD Humboldt Wedag" ready to become a strategic partner in the modernization of cement plants in Turkmenistan

As part of the International Exhibition and Conference CIET-2025 in Turkmenistan, Gennady Makhtumov, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of "KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG", delivered a speech on the prospects of cement production.

Makhtumov emphasized that the future of the industry lies in decarbonization—that is, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by switching to alternative fuels and, most importantly, by developing and implementing low-carbon types of cement and clinker. This also includes the use of “smart” control systems and artificial intelligence for precise management of technological processes, which enables maximum optimization of resource and energy consumption.

The presentation highlighted that the company is ready to become a strategic partner in modernizing existing cement plants in Turkmenistan to make them more energy-efficient, as well as in building new facilities initially designed for low-carbon production, and in implementing advanced German technologies that ensure energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production of cement and clinker.
