On January 6, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalyev and regional governors (khyakims), during which the dynamics of work in the country's agricultural sector and the issues related to the implementation of the National Rural Program were discussed.
The first to speak was the Governor of the Akhal Region, S. Soltanmyradow, who reported on the situation in the region's agricultural lands.
As noted, appropriate measures are currently being taken to care for the wheat fields.
As part of the preparation for cotton sowing, land leveling and plowing continues, with mineral fertilizers being applied.
Along with this, efforts are being made to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds, as well as to repair and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment.
In addition, measures are being taken in the region to stock up on seeds of fruit and vegetable crops and prepare the land for sowing.
The Governor also reported on the work to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in socially significant buildings and the pace of construction of facilities planned for commissioning this year within the framework of the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural activities, particularly the care of wheat according to agrotechnical standards, and the proper preparation for the spring sowing of agricultural crops, giving specific instructions to the head of the regional administration.
Moreover, the head of state ordered to keep the quality and timely resolution of tasks identified in the National Rural Program in the region under control.
Next, the Governor of the Balkan Region, Kh. Ashyrmyradow, presented a report on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.
As noted, wheat field care continues in the region at present.
To ensure a good cotton harvest this year, plowing and land leveling are being carried out, as well as preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment, and the stocking of seeds for cotton growers.
Guided by the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to increase the production of vegetable crops, necessary measures are being taken to stock seeds and prepare land for sowing these crops.
Information was provided on work to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in residential buildings and social facilities, as well as the pace of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the "National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Transformation of Socio-Economic Conditions in Villages, Towns, and District Centers until 2028."
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of strict compliance with agrotechnical standards when conducting seasonal agricultural activities in the region and the preparation of agricultural lands for sowing, giving the Governor specific instructions.
The President also emphasized the importance of successful implementation of programs aimed at the socio-economic development of the country, ordering the monitoring of their completion.
Then, the Governor of Dashoguz Region, D. Babaev, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.
As mentioned, plowing, leveling, and fertilizing with phosphorus fertilizers are being carried out in preparation for cotton sowing.
At the same time, necessary steps are being taken to prepare high-quality cotton seeds, as well as agricultural machinery and equipment to be used in sowing.
Additionally, planning is underway for the land allocated for sowing potatoes and other vegetable crops, as well as the preparation of seed material for the spring season.
Moreover, information was provided on measures being taken to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in residential buildings and social-cultural facilities, as well as the status of construction projects scheduled for commissioning this year in the region within the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the necessity of continuing seasonal agricultural activities at a high level and in accordance with agrotechnical standards, as well as properly preparing fields for cotton sowing, giving the Governor specific instructions.
The head of state also ordered that the timely completion of construction works on facilities planned for commissioning this year in the region under the National Rural Program be closely monitored.
Next, the Governor of Lebap Region, M. Annanepesov, presented a report on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.
As noted, according to the set tasks for the continuous development of the agricultural sector, agricultural work continues in the region. At present, care for wheat is being carried out with the consideration of agrotechnical requirements.
In areas allocated for cotton sowing, plowing, leveling, chillage, irrigation, and enriching the soil with mineral fertilizers are being carried out.
At the same time, steps are being taken to prepare seed material for cotton producers, as well as agricultural machinery and equipment to be used during the spring sowing and cultivation activities.
Additionally, planning is underway for the sowing of spring potatoes and other vegetable crops, as well as the preparation of seeds.
Information was provided on the construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in the framework of the National Socio-Economic Development Program for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, measures being taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, agencies, and enterprises, as well as in socially significant buildings.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for the high organizational level of ongoing seasonal agricultural campaigns and gave corresponding instructions to the Governor.
The head of state also ordered to keep under control the implementation of relevant tasks in the region within the framework of the National Rural Program.
Next, the Governor of Mary Region, B. Orazov, reported on the state of affairs in the region's fields.
As reported, necessary measures are being taken in accordance with agrotechnical norms to obtain a rich wheat harvest, with ongoing field care activities.
On wheat fields, irrigation and fertilization with mineral fertilizers, as well as plowing and leveling of the land, are being carried out.
Along with this, efforts are being made to provide cotton producers with high-quality seeds, and to prepare and efficiently utilize machinery and equipment used during the sowing period.
Guided by the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to ensure abundant food production for the population, the region is preparing land for sowing potatoes and other vegetable crops, as well as seed material for the spring sowing.
Steps are also being taken to collect the sugar beet harvest without loss and process it.
Moreover, measures were reported to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens, as well as the progress of ongoing work in fulfilling tasks set by the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the tasks currently facing the agricultural sector and ordered the Governor to monitor the quality and compliance with agrotechnical norms during seasonal agricultural activities.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered the appropriate fulfillment of the tasks scheduled for this year in the region within the framework of the National Rural Program.
Next, Deputy Prime Minister T. Atakhalyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country.
As reported, care is currently being carried out on wheat fields in the regions in accordance with agrotechnical standards, particularly fertilization with mineral fertilizers, with special attention being given to the efficient use of agricultural machinery.
As part of the preparation for cotton sowing, plowing, leveling, and fertilization of the land continue. Measures are being taken to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds.
At the same time, efforts are underway to prepare agricultural machinery for the season and maintain it in good working condition.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state again emphasized the importance of ongoing seasonal agricultural work, emphasizing the need to ensure compliance with agrotechnical requirements for wheat care, and ordered to monitor work on fertilization with phosphorus fertilizers, plowing, and leveling areas designated for cotton sowing this year.
Focusing on the importance of cotton sowing, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the necessity of ensuring cotton growers receive quality seeds before sowing, and the preparation of machinery and equipment for the spring sowing.
The President also stressed that in Mary Region, the sugar beet harvest should be collected without loss, and from today, fields and seed material should be prepared for the spring sowing of potatoes and other vegetable crops.
Furthermore, the head of state ordered strict control over the implementation of the National Rural Program, the operation of heating systems in residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens, the supply of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water to the population, and the timely and successful execution of planned activities in the regions this year within the framework of the Socio-Economic Development Program for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.
