Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the executives of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.

On June 27, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Tatsuya Watanabe, Senior Advisor for Strategic Affairs of the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., and Kenji Sanada, Executive Director of the company.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity for a personal meeting, the businessmen, taking advantage of the opportunity, wished Hero-Arkadag good health, longevity, and great success in his noble activities for the prosperity of Turkmenistan and the well-being of its people.

Welcoming the guests and thanking them for their kind words, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the upcoming meetings during this visit would contribute to further strengthening relations between the two countries, especially in trade and economic ties, wishing success in the negotiations.

It was noted that Japan is a long-term strategic partner of Turkmenistan in the Asia-Pacific region. Our countries actively cooperate not only on a bilateral level but also within authoritative international organizations, primarily the United Nations.

Highlighting trade and economic interaction, Hero-Arkadag noted that Turkmen-Japanese business relations have reached a qualitatively new level and are successfully developing in various spheres.

It was emphasized that fruitful partnership has been established with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. over many years, with several major projects implemented. Examples include a gasoline production plant from natural gas in Ovadan-Depe, a urea plant in Mary Province, and the Kelyatinsky cement plant.

Alongside the full-capacity operation of these facilities and considering Turkmenistan's ambitious plans for natural gas extraction and processing, new opportunities are emerging for the development of bilateral cooperation.

It was noted that in implementing projects in our country, the use of advanced practices and technologies, as well as adherence to quality standards and environmental requirements, are important conditions.

Expressing readiness to consider proposals from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. for further development of bilateral partnership, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence in the continuation of productive cooperation.

In turn, the businessmen emphasized their company's commitment to long-term cooperation with our country, noting that Japan's business community shows great interest in the promising Turkmen market, where favorable conditions have been created for business promotion, and they are ready to provide their experience and latest technological developments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, thanked the businessmen for their contribution to the development of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation.
