Hero Arkadag Held a Meeting with the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council

On December 17, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, the businessman emphasized the strong interest of U.S. business circles in working in the promising Turkmen market, where favorable conditions for constructive activities have been created.

Taking the opportunity, the guest shared his impressions of the beauty of Turkmen nature and its diverse fauna. In this regard, he noted that Turkmenistan's careful attitude toward the environment, including large-scale measures for biodiversity conservation and maintaining ecological balance, serves as an example for the entire world.

Highlighting the significant international support for Turkmenistan's environmental initiatives, the businessman emphasized that the country’s environmental efforts are a result of the state ecological policy established by the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Thanking him for his kind words, Hero Arkadag underscored Turkmenistan's special attention to the environmental aspects of state policy and emphasized the country's active collaboration in this area with prominent international organizations, particularly the United Nations.

The high recognition of Turkmenistan's targeted efforts on the international level is evident in the resolutions of the UN General Assembly adopted in 2024 at Turkmenistan's initiative: "2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust," _"Central Asia – A Zone of Peace, Trust, and Cooperation," _"United Nations Friendship Games," and the "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia." Speaking about these initiatives, the National Leader of the Turkmen People expressed gratitude to the United States for being among the first to support them.

Adhering to the principles of neutrality, Turkmenistan significantly contributes to global efforts to ensure universal welfare and sustainable development. In this context, Hero Arkadag noted the upcoming significant milestone in 2025 – the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's acquisition of the legal status of permanent neutrality, which will be marked by a series of international events.

As noted during the meeting, the United States is one of Turkmenistan's key strategic partners. Over the years, traditionally friendly relations between the two countries have steadily strengthened based on principles of mutual respect and understanding. The importance of U.S. business circles in the context of bilateral cooperation in trade, economics, energy, agriculture, and transportation was emphasized.

Trade and economic partnership remains one of the primary areas of interstate interaction. Constructive relationships have been established with major American companies for the implementation of significant projects in Turkmenistan. The Turkmen-American Business Council plays a substantial role in expanding these relations.

In the exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, Hero Arkadag noted the successful activities of American companies in strategically significant sectors of the national economy, as well as the growing interest of U.S. business circles in partnerships with Turkmenistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero Arkadag, reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to further develop and enrich interstate dialogue. He also took the opportunity to thank Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, for his personal contribution to expanding cooperation between the two countries.
