On November 19, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairwoman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of Mr. Nijaz Čardaklija, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkmenistan.
On behalf of the head of state, the leader of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in fostering friendly relations between the two countries. In turn, the ambassador conveyed warm greetings from the top leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina and best wishes to the people of Turkmenistan.
During the ensuing conversation, the official representative of the friendly country was briefed on the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s policy under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which is based on the principles of positive neutrality, equality, and broad international cooperation.
Special attention was given to the socio-economic programs being implemented under the President's leadership, aimed at enhancing the potential and diversification of the national economy through innovation, creating modern infrastructure, improving well-being, and steadily raising the standard of living for the population. The ambassador was also introduced to the structure and multifaceted activities of Turkmenistan's parliament within the context of ongoing large-scale reforms.
Highlighting the existing potential for further developing partnerships with Turkmenistan, the diplomat stressed the importance of strengthening interstate relations in the trade and economic sectors as well as in the humanitarian and cultural fields, which contribute to reinforcing ties of friendship and mutual understanding between the two nations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkmenistan, Nijaz Čardaklija, assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen interstate cooperation.
