A trilateral meeting in the format of "Turkmenistan - Azerbaijan - Uzbekistan" was held in Avaza

On August 22, a trilateral meeting was held at the Congress Center of the Avaza National Tourist Zone between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Having thanked the heads of the fraternal states for accepting the invitation to visit Turkmenistan and hold a trilateral meeting at the highest level, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the peoples of the countries of the region are united by centuries-old ties of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness, common historical, cultural and spiritual values. This serves as a solid foundation for expanding and strengthening multifaceted cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

During the current meeting, relations in the areas of politics, economics, culture and the social sphere are gaining modern development. At the same time, priority is given to trade and economic cooperation. As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, today's meeting will discuss the prospects for joint efforts, and important agreements will be signed as a result.

Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan occupy an advantageous geographical position - at the crossroads of Eurasia, namely on the key section of the Great Silk Road. This fact creates positive prerequisites for bringing energy and transport-logistics partnership to a new level, taking into account the huge reserves of natural resources of our countries.

Speaking about this, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that the effective use of the available opportunities to the fullest extent will contribute to ensuring a prosperous and happy life for the fraternal peoples, as well as strengthening the geopolitical and geo-economic position of the three countries on the world stage.

Emphasizing the important role of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the context of the agenda of interstate relations, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that expanding interaction in this direction will serve to further bring our peoples closer and unite them.

In the modern era, preserving the rich cultural heritage, language and literature, national traditions and customs, the art of carpet weaving, folk arts and crafts, and music and song, as well as supporting efforts to popularize them in the world, is an urgent task. Expressing confidence in the success of the summit, Hero-Arkadag noted that its results will be an important step towards strengthening trilateral cooperation, implementing significant joint projects and initiatives.

Having wished the heads of the two fraternal states great success in their state activities, the National Leader of the Turkmen people handed over the floor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for the high organizational level of the negotiations and meetings on the beautiful shores of the Caspian Sea.

The Uzbek President also noted the universal significance of the decisions taken following the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza, which wrote an important page in the annals of the LLDCs.

The distinguished guest emphasized the historical significance of the date of August 22, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as it led to the increase in the global prestige of the Avaza National Tourist Zone, created on the picturesque coast of the Caspian Sea. As noted, the agreements reached at this important meeting will give a significant impetus to bringing trilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.

The high level of organization of the international events held in Avaza demonstrates the solid experience accumulated by Turkmenistan in this area. Speaking about this, the head of the friendly state emphasized the significant progress of our country in various areas, achieved thanks to the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero Arkadag.

This is reflected in the dynamic nature of the national economy and the prosperous life of the people. In this regard, an increase in the number of states interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan, which has embarked on the path of progressive development, was noted. Such a trend indicates that a partnership built on the principles of mutual benefit and trust has great prospects.

As President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized, relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan are of a strategic nature. This opens up great opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation and implementing important joint projects.

Then the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke, expressing gratitude for the high level of organization of the events envisaged within the framework of the trilateral summit meeting.

The head of the friendly country also mentioned the visit of Hero Arkadag to the Republic of Azerbaijan, which wrote a new page in the history of bilateral cooperation and became a clear evidence of the attention paid at the state level to the development of Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations.

Expressing Azerbaijan's great interest in enhancing cooperation in the fuel and energy and transport and logistics sectors, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the enormous prospects for the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in relevant areas.

The distinguished guest also noted the historical importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was recently held on the Caspian coast. The decisions taken following the events held within the framework of the Forum, as well as the Avaza Action Program for the Decade 2024-2034 and the Avaza Political Declaration are of great importance for the entire world community.

It was noted that among the documents that will be signed following the meetings and negotiations held today is the Protocol on the establishment of sister city relations between the Azerbaijani city of Fizuli and the city of Arkadag, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people. This will contribute to making the relations between the two countries more effective and close.
