The first scientific research center in Central Asia has opened in Turkmenistan, under the auspices of the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. The center utilizes equipment similar to that used in the Olympic academies of the United States, Germany, and Japan.

The complex is equipped with Italian BOD POD and Cosmed systems for analyzing athletes' body composition.

The center serves two purposes: preparing national teams for international competitions and training specialists in sports medicine, biomechanics, and psychology.
