On December 3, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdisalam Abdi Ali.
The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, primarily within the United Nations. They noted the similarity of Turkmenistan’s and Somalia’s approaches to issues of global peace and sustainable development.
A separate topic of discussion was the preparation for the International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12 of this year in Ashgabat and will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, and the International Day of Neutrality.
