 
 
On October 30, a solemn event dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality was held at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the city of Aktau.
In his speech, Consul of Turkmenistan Meretdurdy Abdullaev emphasized that Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality, recognized three times by the UN General Assembly, is one of the most significant achievements of the independent state and a symbol of its peace-loving foreign policy. Over the past three decades, neutrality has become an integral part of the national identity, contributing to the strengthening of peace, stability, and good-neighborly relations.
Speakers highlighted the significant progress achieved by the country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan in the political, economic, cultural, and social spheres. Special attention was paid to Turkmenistan’s role in fostering international cooperation and promoting the principles of peace and trust.
