Independence is the embodiment of our ancestors’ dream of establishing a sovereign state. Thirty-four years ago, a solid foundation was laid for the democratic, legal, and secular state of Turkmenistan. Over the years of independence, the material and spiritual values, as well as the humanistic traditions of our people, have been fully restored.

In the era of revival of the new epoch of the sovereign state, the national policy pursued by the Esteemed President has gained particular importance. The core principle of the Esteemed President — “The Motherland is a motherland only with its people! The State is a state only with its people!” — reflects the large-scale efforts carried out to ensure a peaceful, stable, and prosperous life for our citizens. Today, significant progress has been achieved in the areas of human rights protection, economy, culture, environmental safety, and the digital system. Innovative projects aligned with the spirit of the time have been developed and are being effectively implemented.

The recent decisions of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan affirm that the life of our people will become even more prosperous. In its foreign policy, our country places great emphasis on international cooperation. Diplomatic relations have been established with most countries around the world. Turkmenistan has gained broad recognition as a peace-loving nation and advocate of international dialogue. Since gaining sacred independence, considerable efforts have been made to modernize and industrialize the national economy, expand exports, and reduce imports.

Strategic sectors of the country — including the fuel and energy complex, construction, agriculture, information and communication technologies, transport and logistics, as well as science and education — have undergone modernization. The implementation of such large-scale initiatives within our independent and permanently neutral state has ensured the rapid progress of Turkmenistan.
