In the era of the Renaissance of a new age of a prosperous state, under the wise leadership of the esteemed President, Turkmenistan is carrying out comprehensive work to develop the oil and gas industry. Large investment projects implemented in this sector not only have economic significance but also play a crucial role in strengthening regional and global energy security. A key element in the implementation of the country's fuel and energy strategy is the "Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030."

As is known, on February 7, during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President emphasized that thanks to the state’s energy policy, the oil and gas sector continues to develop steadily. In 2025, further modernization of the industry is planned, ensuring reliable natural gas supplies to domestic and foreign consumers, as well as introducing modern technologies to enhance the production capacity of oil and gas enterprises. Additionally, during the meeting, the volume of petroleum products intended for domestic consumption in 2025— including automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene—was approved. This document is of great importance for the uninterrupted supply of petroleum and gas products to state institutions, enterprises, organizations, private entrepreneurs, and the population.

As one of the world’s leading energy powers, Turkmenistan places particular emphasis on creating a new energy security architecture that meets modern requirements. The international initiatives of the National Leader Arkadag and the President receive broad support from the global community. The adoption of United Nations General Assembly resolutions in 2008 and 2013 on "Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy Resources and Its Role in Ensuring Sustainable Development and International Cooperation," as well as the 2023 resolution on "The Key Role of Reliable and Stable Energy Connectivity in Ensuring Sustainable Development," serve as clear confirmations of this.

International projects are being implemented in the country’s oil and gas sector, aimed at diversifying export potential, developing new fields, and expanding the use of digital technologies. In this context, the construction of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline is directed at strengthening the region’s energy security. In September last year, an important phase of this project began—the construction of the Serhetabat–Herat gas pipeline and the "Shatlyk-1" gas compressor station. This project contributes to the development of economic cooperation, as well as the promotion of peace and stability in the region.

It is worth noting that on April 24 last year, an international investment forum was held in Paris to attract foreign investments to Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector. Furthermore, in June, an international scientific and practical conference on "Environmental Aspects of Implementing Innovative Technologies in Hydrocarbon Field Development" was organized, followed by the Turkmenistan Oil and Gas – 2024 international exhibition and conference in Ashgabat in October. These events contribute to expanding international cooperation and exchanging best practices in the fuel and energy sector, including the development of renewable energy sources.

In conclusion, it can be said that the large-scale projects being implemented in the country, including in the oil and gas sector, have received widespread international recognition and are a clear testament to the high economic strength of our Motherland. May the health and well-being of the esteemed President and National Leader Arkadag remain strong as they lead the country to new heights of prosperity!
