At a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, the delegation of Turkmenistan once again drew the attention of the OSCE participating States to the principles of neutrality in international relations. The discussion took place as part of the presentation of the report of the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pere Joan Pons Sampietro to the Permanent Council.
Turkmenistan reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of positive neutrality, emphasizing that this status is recognized by the United Nations and remains the cornerstone of the country's foreign policy. In this context, Turkmenistan, within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, also initiated events aimed at strengthening dialogue and promoting the principles of neutrality to ensure peace and security.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of organizing regular conferences aimed at promoting multilateral cooperation and the principles of neutrality as a key tool for strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.
