On June 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev and velayat hyakims, where issues related to the country's agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions were discussed.
The first to speak was the hyakim of the Akhal velayat T. Nurmuradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As reported, grain harvesting continues in the velayat, and necessary measures are being taken to ensure its organized implementation, the effective use of agricultural machinery and units, as well as the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested crop to receiving points.
Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and vegetation irrigation are carried out in the region’s cotton fields.
In order to further strengthen food abundance in the country, steps are being taken to harvest potatoes and vegetable and melon crops grown on agricultural lands in the velayat.
The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities planned for opening in the region this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov identified the proper conduct of the grain harvest season and the care of cotton fields in the region in compliance with agricultural standards as priority tasks, addressing specific instructions to the hyakim in this regard.
The head of state also ordered that the work carried out within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development programs be kept under constant control.
Then the hyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As reported, the wheat harvest continues in the velayat, measures are being taken to fully utilize grain harvesters, vehicles and receiving points, as well as to ensure timely payments to grain producers for the harvested crop.
Along with this, inter-row cultivation, irrigation and mineral fertilization are carried out on the fields of the velayat sown with cotton. Agricultural machinery is used effectively.
Guided by the set tasks to further strengthen food abundance in the country, the harvest of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops continues in the velayat.
The Khyakim also reported on the progress of construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the seasonal work currently being carried out in agriculture and gave the hyakim a number of instructions in this regard to ensure the coordinated activities of all structures participating in the grain harvesting campaign and the care of cotton in compliance with agrotechnical standards.
The head of state also ordered that everything necessary be done to ensure high-quality and timely completion of construction work at facilities scheduled to open in the velayat this year in accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs.
Then the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the state of affairs in agriculture in the region.
It was reported that the grain harvest is continuing in an organized manner in the velayat. Measures are being taken to accelerate and harvest wheat without losses, as well as to ensure timely payments to grain producers for the harvest delivered to the state.
In the areas of the region sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, weeding, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering are carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards.
At the same time, care for potatoes, vegetables and melons continues in the velayat.
The Khyakim also reported on the pace of construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities scheduled for opening in the region this year in accordance with the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028" and the "National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028."
Summarizing the report, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely and loss-free harvesting of grain grown by the hard work of farmers, as well as compliance with agricultural technology requirements when caring for cotton, instructing the hyakim to monitor the work carried out in these areas.
In addition, instructions were given to ensure high-quality implementation of the work planned for this year in the region in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
Then the khyakim of Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As reported, the wheat harvest is currently ongoing in the velayat. Steps are being taken to ensure the smooth operation of agricultural machinery and receiving points, as well as timely payments to grain producers. Plowing of areas cleared of wheat is underway.
Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out on the cotton fields in the region.
Along with the care of spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, the harvesting of the grown crop continues. In addition, rice sowing continues in the region.
The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year in accordance with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028” and the National Rural Program.
Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized that harvesting wheat on time and without losses is one of the main conditions for further strengthening food abundance in the country and instructed the hyakim to take measures for the proper organization of grain harvesting in the region. The emphasis was also placed on the need to carry out seasonal activities in cotton-sown fields within the established agrotechnical terms.
The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of successfully implementing the tasks set in the country's socio-economic development programs and instructed the hyakim to keep their implementation in the spotlight.
Then the hyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of current seasonal agricultural work in the region.
As reported, guided by the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the necessary measures are being taken to speed up the harvest in the velayat and harvest the grown crop in a short time and without losses, for the proper functioning of grain harvesters, vehicles and receiving points, as well as to ensure timely payments to grain producers.
Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out in a coordinated manner in the region's cotton fields.
Along with this, corresponding work is being carried out to harvest spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops grown in the velayat and to supply domestic markets with these products.
The sowing of sugar beets continues in the region, and everything necessary is being done to carry out this campaign efficiently and within the established timeframe.

Cotton care activities are carried out at the proper level in the velayats, in particular, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and irrigation.
At the same time, work continues on caring for rice fields in the Dashoguz velayat in accordance with agricultural standards, sowing rice in the Lebap velayat and sugar beet in the Mary velayat.
Potatoes, vegetables, melons and other food crops are cared for, and the harvested crops are collected.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the agricultural sector in the country's economy and noted the need for a comprehensive approach, including the introduction of best practices in production, the efficient use of land and water resources, and technical means for the consistent development of the industry. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to monitor the progress of agricultural work.
Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again drew attention to the seasonal activities currently being carried out in the country's agriculture, ordering that all measures be taken to ensure the organized conduct of the grain harvest, the collection of the crop in the shortest possible time and without losses, as well as the care of the cotton fields in accordance with agricultural technology standards.
Concluding the working meeting on the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work.
