On May 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As noted during the conversation, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan share a mutual understanding on key issues of the regional and global agenda, particularly regarding the maintenance and strengthening of universal peace and stability, the development of sustainable energy and transport systems, the use of water resources, environmental protection, and climate change.
During the exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, priority areas of cooperation were identified as trade, energy, transport, and communications.
Highlighting the positive dynamics in mutual trade turnover, both sides acknowledged the great potential for expanding trade relations.
