The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 24, congratulating him on his birthday.
The Hero-Arkadag also conveyed warm congratulations on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The President of Uzbekistan expressed sincere gratitude for the congratulations and the special attention given to the development of bilateral cooperation.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the dynamic nature of Turkmen-Uzbek interstate relations.
“I would like to emphasize with great satisfaction that Turkmen-Uzbek interstate relations are currently developing dynamically. Regular meetings and constructive negotiations contribute to the deepening and expansion of bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas,” said Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The interlocutors confirmed the high level of partnership in the political and diplomatic sphere, based on trust and mutual understanding. It was noted that cooperation is successfully developing both in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
In the trade and economic sphere, efforts are being made to increase mutual trade turnover, establish contacts between the business circles of the two countries, and develop interregional ties. The importance of the humanitarian component of the relationship, including the organization of cultural events, exhibitions, and concerts, was particularly emphasized.
The sides also exchanged views on international and regional agendas.
At the conclusion of the conversation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan wished the President of Uzbekistan good health and further success in his state activities, and wished the brotherly people of Uzbekistan peace, progress, and prosperity.
