On September 10, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNRCCA in the context of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly that has begun its work.
The key subject of the negotiations was the Priority Positions of Turkmenistan at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. It was emphasized that many of them correlate with the mandate of the Center. In this regard, the Turkmen side confirmed its readiness for active interaction with UNRCCA on their implementation.
