During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution, according to which the Ministry of Communications is designated as the authorized body for electronic documents, relevant document management, digital services and the work of the electronic government. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.
This measure is aimed at ensuring the tasks provided for in legislative acts adopted in order to develop a high-tech and competitive digital economy through the widespread introduction of digital systems in the sectors of the national economy.
Recall that these tasks are regulated in the Laws of Turkmenistan "On Electronic Document, Electronic Document Management and Digital Services" and "On Electronic Government". The documents are designed to facilitate the coordination of interdepartmental activities of government agencies through information systems.
In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that targeted work is being carried out in Turkmenistan on the widespread introduction of a digital system in the economic sector and the development of a digital economy.
