
On November 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means, where a number of public issues were discussed.
Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the results of the eleventh regular parliamentary meeting held on November 22, during which Turkmenistan's main financial plan and bills related to various areas were discussed. In this regard, the Speaker of the Mejlis expressed her deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for signing the Law of Turkmenistan "On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2026."
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported on preparations for audits of the country's banks' annual financial statements in accordance with the Laws of Turkmenistan "On Credit Institutions and Banking" and "On Auditing Activity," as well as the Decree of the Head of State "On the Accounting and Auditing Reform Program."
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on measures implemented by the Türkmennebit State Concern to increase oil production. It was reported that new production wells drilled at the Uzynada field have produced gas condensate, which has been connected to the general oil pipeline system. Additional volumes of hydrocarbons have also begun to arrive.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baimurad Annamammedov reported on the work being carried out in Ashgabat in preparation for the New Year celebrations. As reported, to ensure a fitting New Year's Eve celebration in the capital, New Year's trees will be decorated in the country's main cultural centers, along avenues, in recreational parks, and in venues hosting cultural events. Preparations were also underway to decorate the Main New Year's Tree in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center and its surrounding area.
Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev reported on the shopping mall's preparations for International Neutrality Day and the New Year's holiday. As reported, holiday shopping will begin on December 5 in shopping centers, markets, and stores in the provinces, cities of Ashgabat, and Arkadag. Mobile retail outlets are also planned.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported that conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, educational events, and song and music celebrations are planned for the coming month to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported that, as part of the ongoing comprehensive efforts to improve the quality of teaching and enhance the professional training of workers in the relevant fields, measures are being implemented to enhance the qualifications of teaching staff and heads of educational institutions based on national and international experience.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on Turkmenistan's cooperation with United Nations humanitarian agencies.
The work plans of the State Statistics Committee and the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography, along with the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan, for the coming years were submitted to the head of state for review. These documents were developed to provide high-quality statistical data on children, improve reporting, enhance expertise in multi-level cluster analysis, effectively apply data at the national level, and widely publicize activities carried out in the interests of young citizens through media and outreach efforts. Work plans for 2026 have also been prepared by several other relevant government agencies in conjunction with the UNICEF Office.
Deputy Prime Minister Mammetkhan Chakyev reported on the ongoing work to strengthen the material and technical infrastructure of the railway sector. Currently, cooperation with foreign companies is being emphasized as part of the overhaul of freight and passenger locomotives. This is intended to contribute to an increase in freight and passenger traffic volumes, as well as to enhance the transport and transit potential of the industry.
The meeting also discussed a number of other important public issues, and appropriate decisions were made.
