Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Vepa Khadzhiev held a meeting with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on July 30.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Mauritani cooperation, including cooperation within international organizations.

Mutual interest was expressed in deepening partnership in the field of sustainable development and expanding transport and logistics ties. The meeting participants also emphasized the importance of intensifying regional and interregional contacts.

Particular attention was paid to the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC), which will be held in Avaza.
