On August 25, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Ireland Yazgeldi Seryaev (with residence in London) paid a working visit to Dublin.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with Deputy Head of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland Ralph Victor and presented him with copies of his credentials.
During the meeting, the representative of the Foreign Policy Department of Ireland congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this responsible post, and wished him great success, confirming the readiness of the Irish side to assist in the implementation of the mission.
The parties noted their mutual interest in developing friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Ireland.
In addition, on August 26, Ambassador Seryaev met with Deputy Director of Political Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland Fiona Nic Dhonnacha and Director General of Global Ireland and the Economic Division of this ministry Colm Hayes.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ireland in the political, trade and economic spheres, as well as in the field of renewable energy and education. Issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations were considered.
In addition, the Ambassador presented to the Irish side information about Turkmenistan's peaceful and positive foreign policy, friendly and equal relations with foreign countries, as well as the country's economic development.
