On August 7, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Kingdom of Bhutan Dina Nat Dungyel in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
The parties discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation in the political and diplomatic sphere. In addition, they considered the possibilities of establishing diplomatic relations and strengthening partnership within the framework of international structures.
The Turkmen side outlined the key vectors of the country's foreign policy, in particular the importance of preventive diplomacy and positive neutrality in promoting peace and trust between countries and peoples. In this context, specific steps by Turkmenistan at the regional and international levels were emphasized.
The diplomats agreed to work to expand mutually beneficial ties in all areas of mutual interest.
