On December 7, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.

Expressing gratitude for the time allocated for the meeting, the guest emphasized the great importance that Saudi Arabia attaches to multifaceted, mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund, the Head of State expressed confidence that his first visit to our country would contribute to the steady growth and activation of bilateral financial and economic partnership for the benefit of both sides.

As noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan places great importance on expanding mutually beneficial dialogue with countries around the world and authoritative international financial institutions. In this regard, it was with satisfaction that the high level of cooperation between our country and the Saudi Development Fund was acknowledged.

Turkmenistan has been cooperating with the Fund for many years, and during this time, the Fund has been actively involved in financing a number of large national and international projects. A vivid example of this is the projects in the fields of healthcare, transportation, communications, and finance.

These projects serve not only the interests of the participating countries but also the people of the region, emphasized President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Sincerely thanking the guest for his contribution to strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Saudi Development Fund, the Head of State expressed readiness to further enhance fruitful collaboration.

For his part, the guest noted that he is pleased to participate, within the framework of constructive partnership, in the financing of projects by the Saudi Development Fund, particularly in the fields of healthcare and transportation, as well as the growing interest in the investment attractiveness of Turkmenistan’s rapidly developing and promising market.

At the conclusion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad exchanged wishes for good health and success in their responsible activities.

Today, as part of the visit of the Saudi Development Fund delegation led by Executive Director Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, a meeting was held with the leadership of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, issues of further development of bilateral partnership were discussed, and corresponding documents were signed between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Development Fund.
