On 14 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country.

The conversation touched upon the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in priority areas of political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to the strengthening of bilateral Turkmen-Uzbek relations and wished him success in his future activities.

In turn, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen side for all-round support and assistance in carrying out his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
