On July 6, talks were held in the Turkmen capital between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres, who arrived in our country for a visit.

The meeting of the President of Turkmenistan and the UN General-Secretary, which opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations, took place in the capital's fashionable «Oguzkent» Hotel.

During the meetings in a narrow format and in an expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and UN General-Secretary Antonio Guterres discussed issues of developing partnership in various areas.

As is known, the comprehensive development and strengthening of multifaceted partnership with the UN is one of the key vectors of the foreign policy of sovereign Turkmenistan, which is invariably committed to the principles of openness, peacefulness and active international cooperation in the common interests.
