Chemical products of the oil and gas industry, which are in great demand on the world market, are exported through the polypropylene terminal of the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi, located on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year.
Among the ongoing works, 749,900 tons of high-quality coke products were exported to Turkey through the polypropylene terminal by the Oguzabat Economic Society on the order of the Turkish company Bestway, the official website of the port reports.
Also, 1,350 tons of polypropylene products were successfully exported to the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation by order of the Kazakh company Korsintez.
The total area of the polypropylene terminal was 62,000 square meters, and all premises were equipped in such a way as to avoid damage to polypropylene cargo due to weather conditions in the terminal. In the terminal, port cranes on steel rails with a lifting capacity of 64 tons and a turning angle of 17 meters are simultaneously loading and unloading three ships with a displacement of 5,000 tons.
