Today, a new important chapter has been written in the annals of the Renaissance era of the new era of the mighty state. The events of historical significance, in which the constructive political strategy of independent neutral Turkmenistan initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Malahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and now consistently implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, have found a concrete embodiment, are a clear proof of this. 

Today's events include the opening of the 177-metre-long railway bridge of the Serhetabat-Turgundi steel line on the Turkmen-Afghan border, laying the foundation of the Şatlyk-1 gas compressor station in Mary province, the start of construction of the Serhetabat-Herat section, which is an important stage in the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline project, and the Serhetabat-Herat fibre-optic communication line,  

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Malahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund attended the ceremonies. 

Demonstrating a responsible and far-sighted approach to developing solutions to pressing issues on the international agenda, our Motherland is taking an active part in the common endeavour to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. An integral factor here is the creation of a modern energy security architecture. The TAPI project initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which meets the interests of the welfare of the brotherly peoples of the states of the region, is an effective contribution to its formation. 

In the morning, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived by helicopter at the Islim-Cheshme border checkpoint in Serhetabat town of Takhtabazar district of Mary province. Here Hero-Arkadag was met by officials. 

After a while, acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund arrived here by helicopter. According to the good tradition of hospitality, bread and salt were presented to the Afghan guest. 

Then, the meeting between the Hero-Arkadag and the Acting Head of the Government of Afghanistan was held in the conference hall erected at the Islim-Cheshme border checkpoint.

After the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalq Malahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund took part in the ceremonies to mark the opening and the beginning of construction of new infrastructure facilities that have become visible symbols of the centuries-old good-neighbourly and brotherly Turkmen-Afghan relations, which in the new historical era are gaining a worthy continuation, enriching in their content. 

In accordance with the ancient spiritual traditions, the Mufti of Turkmenistan read the prayer "Ayat Tovir" from the Holy Koran.

Then, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants of the celebrations via digital system. 

The head of state's speech was listened to with deep attention and enthusiasm. 

Thus, this day of the "Treasure of the Mind of Mahtumkuli Fragi" year, full of important events, will be another bright page in the glorious history of the independent neutral Motherland, marking a new milestone on the way to further development of mutually beneficial interstate cooperation, as well as generally fruitful regional and international partnership in the interests of universal peace, well-being and progress.
