Numerous Modern Facilities and Buildings to Be Constructed in Our Country in 2025

On January 7, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the results of economic sector activities for 2024 were summarized. Reports from deputy prime ministers, heads of ministries, and governors of the velayats were heard. The agenda also included key issues regarding the country’s socio-economic development in 2025 and personnel matters.

Addressing the priority objectives, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that, in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2025, this year, approximately 500,000 square meters of residential housing, general educational institutions with a capacity of 4,620 places, and preschool institutions accommodating 2,000 children are planned for construction and commissioning.

To enhance the social and living standards of the population, as part of the implementation of this program, construction of new residential areas will commence in the velayats and the capital. Additionally, several construction projects and facilities are scheduled for completion.

This year, modern villages will be put into operation in the Öňaldy gengeshlyk of Ak Bugday etrap and Gowşut gengeshlyk of Kaakhka etrap in Ahal Velayat, new modern villages in Kyzyl-Arvat etrap of Balkan Velayat, a new modern settlement in Kunyaurgench etrap of Dashoguz Velayat, a road bridge over the Garabogazköl Bay in Balkan Velayat, and an International Airport Complex in Jebel, Balkan Velayat. Furthermore, the Mary–Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat–Turkmenabat high-speed highway and the higher educational institution of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan are set for commissioning.

To improve the social and living conditions of the population, significant funds will be allocated for the construction of roads, communication systems, water, gas, and electricity supply networks, as well as wastewater treatment facilities, the head of state noted.

A series of international events will be held in our country in honor of the International Year of Peace and Trust.

President of Turkmenistan instructed to prepare proposals for awarding not only citizens of our country but also foreign nationals on the occasion of the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. He also emphasized the importance of thoroughly preparing for events of special significance and commemorative dates at a high level.

The adopted program for the current year includes an extensive range of projects, the head of state stated, highlighting that the primary goal is the further prosperity of our Homeland. In this regard, he expressed firm confidence that, through the unity and dedicated work of the nation, all objectives set for 2025 will be successfully achieved.
