During the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, the tireless efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov have led to significant state-level support for the younger generation in Turkmenistan, producing positive results. Today, a new generation of youth is emerging—loyal to the Motherland, people, national traditions, and positive values, eager to learn, play sports, gain professional skills, and work with enthusiasm and high spirit. Wide opportunities are created for youth to develop in harmony with the spirit of the times and to showcase their abilities in work, creativity, and science.
The creative groups of the House of Culture at the "Kenar" oil collection and loading facility, a division of Turkmenbashi oil processing complex of the “Türkmennebit” SC, make a significant contribution to the development of modern Turkmen culture. In particular, the children’s dance and folklore group “Hazar Merjenleri” (Caspian Pearls) and the children’s singing group “Tolkun” (Wave), established in 2009, are recognized not only within the country but also internationally for their achievements.
Since its early years, the “Hazar Merjenleri” group has performed on international stages, promoting Turkmenistan’s rich national culture to the world. In 2010, 2013, and 2014, the group participated successfully in the “Awaza – Land of Friendship” International Children’s Festival held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone and was awarded diplomas. The group also effectively represented Turkmen culture in several international events in Turkey: the “23 Nisan” World Children's Festival in Bursa in 2011, the “Turkic World” Festival in Istanbul in 2012, and the “23 Nisan” Festival and “EXPO-16” in Antalya in 2016.
Since its establishment, the “Tolkun” group has played a key role in discovering talented young individuals. Since 2010, its members have regularly participated in the national contest “Pearls of Independence.” In 2011 and 2017, the group won in the “Pearls of Independence” competition held as part of the “Golden Age of the Turkmen” contest initiated by the President of Turkmenistan.
In 2023, the “Tolkun” group performed successfully at an international competition held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone and was awarded a diploma. These achievements prove the group’s growing creative level and increasing international recognition.
In September 2025, as part of the “Golden Age of the Turkmen” contest, Arzuw Orazowna Aganiyazova, a 7th-grade student at Secondary School No. 9 in the city of Türkmenbaşy, Balkan Province, was among the winners of the “Pearls of Independence” competition. According to the Presidential Decree of Turkmenistan, all winners were awarded laptops, tablets, and official diplomas.
Children who participated in the final round of the “Pearls of Independence” competition also received valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The success of creative groups like “Hazar Merjenleri” and “Tolkun” is not only due to the talent of their members but also to the dedication of those who founded, led, and mentored them. These groups make a significant contribution to the development and global promotion of Turkmen culture.
Thanks to the boundless care of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, state-level efforts for youth support continue to yield positive results. We sincerely wish our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar good health, long life, and great success in their noble mission of creating broad opportunities for Turkmen youth in education, creativity, and sports.
