Сooperation in the energy sector was discussed on Wednesday by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and State Minister of Petroleum of Pakistan Musadiq Masood Malik. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As noted, during the meeting, the possibilities of further promotion of the implementation of such strategically important projects as the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), power lines and fiber-optic communication along the route Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) were considered.

Malik noted that the leadership of Pakistan supports these projects, which are important both for each of the parties involved and for the region as a whole.
