An Award Ceremony for the Winners of the Gulbaba Children's Prize Was Held

Every year, during the winter holidays, the capital hosts the main New Year's celebrations, which bring together children from all corners of Turkmenistan, following a well-established tradition.

Today, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a ceremony honoring the young winners of the special Gulbaba Children's Prize. The event was organized by the Central Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education.

Children's competitions and festivals at both national and international levels help identify and support the creative abilities of the younger generation. They foster the development of amateur and professional arts in a wide variety of genres and promote the continuity of rich folk traditions. Any competition provides a broad platform for experimentation, bold ideas, and new discoveries, encouraging children to express themselves.

Each year, schoolchildren under the age of 18 from all regions of the country participate in the competition for the Gulbaba Prize. These young talents include winners of academic Olympiads, intellectual contests, creative competitions, and sports tournaments. According to the competition rules, preliminary rounds are held at the district and provincial levels, and the best participants earn the right to compete in the national finals. This year, 90 talented children and two creative children's groups received the award.

The harmonious development of the younger generation is one of the priorities of the socially oriented state policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. These objectives are also reflected in the youth policy pursued in Turkmenistan. Today, young talents, whether living in cities or remote areas, have every opportunity to develop their creative abilities and skills.

Turkmenistan implements programs to improve the systems of education, healthcare, physical culture, and sports. Art centers where children and youth can engage with the world of art operate throughout the country. Special creative schools are opening, and modern cultural centers, recreational parks, and entertainment facilities are being built. The wonderful tradition of prioritizing children, surrounding them with care and love, continues worthily in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.

Thus, young Turkmens have the opportunity to showcase their diverse talents and connect with the rich cultural heritage of their homeland and the world. After all, they are the ones who will contribute to the future development of the country's arts.

…The gifted children were warmly welcomed by their peers and relatives, who gathered at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to share the joy of this celebration.

The event began with a video presentation showcasing the talents of the remarkable boy Gulbaba. From the age of three, he played the dutar virtuously and sang songs of his own composition, leaving an indelible mark on Turkmen music.

In a festive atmosphere, amid enthusiastic applause, the winners' names were announced. They were awarded valuable prizes and diplomas. As noted, these young talents of the Revival era of the New Epoch of the Powerful State will soon take up the creative legacy of the older generation and bring glory to their homeland, just as the young Turkmen musician Gulbaba Akyev once did.

Participants of the colorful marathon also received commemorative gifts designed to inspire them to take part in new creative competitions, achieve their goals, and secure future victories.

The laureates and guests of the contest were congratulated by young performers, school students, and preschool children. In their heartfelt and emotional performances, they expressed their gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for the opportunity to live and study in a prosperous, independent, and neutral Turkmenistan—a country of happy childhood.
