The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry hosted the presentation of the XVI volume of the fundamental work "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published on the eve of the professional holiday - the Day of Health Workers and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.

The presentation was attended by deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and leading specialists of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry and its relevant institutions, representatives of other ministries and departments, public organisations, mass media and students.

The speeches emphasised that the multi-volume scientific publication is not only of high academic interest in international medical circles, but also enjoys great popularity among a wide range of readers.

As it was noted, the unique encyclopedia of medicinal flora growing on the Turkmen land and folk phytotherapy, published in mass circulation and translated into many languages, has become the property of millions of foreign readers and a practical guide for specialists of different medical fields in our country. The author of scientific research in the field of medicine, Hero-Arkadag created a national model for the development of national medicine, combining the wisdom and experience of ancestors, as well as modern trends in global health care.
