“The full and timely repayment of foreign loans indicates that Turkmenistan is an economically powerful state that responsibly approaches the fulfillment of its obligations,”  the journalists quote the words of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The mass media of the People's Republic of China paid special attention to this event. In the publications of numerous electronic publications – “International Energy Network (in-en.com)”, “China Gas Network (chinagas .org.cn)”, “Sina. News” and others - it is noted that China is currently the largest importer of natural gas from Turkmenistan. It is also said that our country is rich in natural gas resources, and the Galkynysh field is the second largest gas field in the world.

In addition, it is emphasized that Turkmenistan is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. In this regard, Chinese publications cite facts announced by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in an interview with the Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company. As the leader of the nation noted, despite the negative situation in the world, by the end of 2020, the growth of gross domestic product at the level of 5.9 percent was ensured. Over the years of independence, the volume of Turkmenistan's GDP has grown by 8.4 times.

Over the past 30 years, there have been tremendous changes in the strategic fuel and energy industry, according to the Chinese media. Gas pipelines have been built from Turkmenistan to China and Iran. The construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is in full swing.

In general, according to international observers, the interaction between Turkmenistan and China in the gas sector serves as an example of a constructive and fruitful partnership that meets the interests of the two countries and the entire Central Asian region.
